Job Description
M.J. Bale is looking for an experienced Assistant Store Business Manager to join our Macquarie Centre team.
This is an opportunity to take the next step in your retail leadership career, working closely with the Store Business Manager to develop the team, drive performance and deliver an exceptional customer experience.
Founded in Australia in 2009, M.J. Bale creates garments of integrity using quality natural fibres and expert craftsmanship. We’re a certified B Corp and Official Tailor to the Australian Test cricket team, the Wallabies and the Socceroos.
About the role
You’ll be a visible and hands-on leader, setting the pace on the shop floor and helping the store perform at its best.
Your day will include:
Supporting the Store Business Manager with daily leadership and operations
Leading the team to achieve individual and store sales targets
Coaching team members and building their confidence on the floor
Developing relationships with new and returning customers
Providing expert advice on fit, styling and product
Supporting rostering, stock management and visual merchandising
Maintaining high standards across service and store presentation
Taking responsibility for the store when the Store Business Manager is away

About you
You’ll bring:
Experience as an Assistant Manager, 2IC or senior retail team member
A strong sales record and confidence working towards targets
The ability to coach, motivate and support a team
A genuine interest in menswear, tailoring and personal style
Strong organisation, communication and attention to detail
A proactive approach and willingness to get involved
Flexibility to work across a seven-day retail roster
Experience in premium fashion, menswear or luxury retail will be highly regarded.
