Job Description
M.J. Bale is looking for an experienced Assistant Store Business Manager to join our DFO Brisbane Outlet, working a regular Sunday-to-Thursday roster.
Founded in Australia in 2009, M.J. Bale creates garments of integrity using quality natural fibres and expert craftsmanship. We’re a certified B Corp and Official Tailor to the Australian Test cricket team, the Wallabies and the Socceroos.
About the role
You’ll work closely with the Store Business Manager to lead the floor, drive results and keep the store performing at its best.
This isn’t a management role spent out the back. You’ll be in the middle of trade—supporting customers, setting the pace for the team and stepping up to lead the store when required.
Your day will include:
Leading the team to achieve sales targets and store KPIs
Coaching team members and setting a strong example on the floor
Helping customers find the right fit, style and product
Building relationships with new and returning customers
Supporting visual merchandising, stock management and store operations
Keeping the store well presented and ready for trade
Taking responsibility for the store when the Store Business Manager is away
Desired Skills and Experience
About you
You’ll bring:
Experience as an Assistant Manager, 2IC or senior retail team member
A strong sales record and confidence working towards targets
The ability to motivate, coach and support a team
A genuine interest in menswear, styling and customer service
Strong organisation and attention to detail
A hands-on attitude and willingness to get involved wherever needed
Availability to work Sunday to Thursday
Experience in premium fashion, menswear or outlet retail will be highly regarded.
