Job Description
M.J. Bale is seeking an experienced and performance-focused Store Business Manager to lead our Claremont Quarter store. This is an exciting opportunity to drive results, build a high-performing team, and deliver an exceptional customer experience within a premium retail environment.
Claremont Quarter is a flagship location in WA, and we’re looking for a leader who can combine commercial strength with authentic leadership and elevated service standards.
The Opportunity
As Store Business Manager, you will take full accountability for store performance, team leadership and operational excellence.
Commercial Leadership
Drive sales targets, KPIs and overall store profitability
Analyse performance data to identify growth opportunities
Manage wage budgets and roster efficiency
Grow average transaction value (ATV), units per transaction (UPT) and database engagement
Develop local business and clienteling strategies to strengthen market presence
Team Leadership & Development
Recruit, train and develop a high-performing retail team
Lead from the front, demonstrating premium selling standards
Coach team members to exceed individual and store targets
Conduct regular performance and development conversations
Build a strong culture of accountability, collaboration and pride
Premium Customer Experience
Deliver personalised styling and tailored service
Build long-term relationships with VIP and repeat clients
Drive appointment-based selling and Custom opportunities
Ensure the store consistently reflects M.J. Bale’s premium brand standards
Operational Excellence
Maintain exceptional VM and presentation standards
Oversee stock management and inventory control
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
Drive consistency and operational efficiency
Desired Skills and Experience
About You
Proven experience as a Store Manager or senior retail leader
Strong commercial acumen and ability to manage P&L performance
Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding KPIs
Exceptional leadership and team development capability
Strong clienteling and relationship-building skills
Passion for menswear, tailoring and premium customer service
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
