M.J. Bale is seeking a driven and commercially astute Assistant Store Business Manager to support the leadership of our Martin Place store — a key flagship location within our network.

The Opportunity

Working closely with the Store Business Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales performance, developing team capability and delivering an exceptional, tailored customer experience.

Drive Commercial Performance

• Support delivery of sales targets, KPIs and store profitability

• Analyse performance metrics and identify growth opportunities

• Drive average transaction value (ATV), units per transaction (UPT) and database growth

• Build and maintain strong VIP and corporate client relationships

• Lead clienteling and appointment-based selling initiatives

Lead & Develop a High-Performing Team

• Lead from the front on the shop floor, demonstrating premium selling standards

• Coach and mentor team members to exceed performance expectations

• Support recruitment, onboarding and ongoing development

• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and energy

• Act as a role model of M.J. Bale’s values and leadership behaviours

Deliver Premium Customer Experience

• Provide personalised styling and tailored service experiences

• Strengthen long-term client relationships

Operational Excellence

• Support roster management and wage control

• Maintain exceptional VM and presentation standards
