Job Description
We’re looking for a driven and customer-focused Assistant Store Manager (2IC) to support the leadership of our David Jones Elizabeth Street concession. This role is ideal for an experienced retail leader ready to step up, or a strong Assistant Manager who thrives in a premium, fast-paced environment.
As 2IC, you’ll partner closely with the Store Manager to lead the team, drive performance and deliver an exceptional customer experience while upholding MJ Bale’s brand and service standards.
About the role
Support the Store Manager in leading and developing a high-performing team
Drive sales, KPIs and commercial outcomes within a concession environment
Lead by example on the floor, delivering exceptional customer service
Coach and motivate team members to achieve individual and store targets
Support recruitment, onboarding and training of new team members
Maintain strong visual merchandising and brand presentation standards
Assist with stock management, loss prevention and operational compliance
Step into Store Manager responsibilities when required
Desired Skills and Experience
About you
Proven experience as an Assistant Store Manager, 2IC or senior sales leader (fashion or premium retail preferred)
Strong people skills with the ability to coach and influence
Commercially aware with a results-driven mindset
Confident communicator with a passion for customer experience
Organised, proactive and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Flexible to work a rotating retail roster, including weekends
