We’re on the lookout for a customer-focused, proactive, and personable Casual Customer Experience Assistant to join our Alexandria-based Head Office team. As a Customer Experience Assistant, you’ll be the first point of contact for our valued customers across multiple channels including phone, email, social media, and live chat. You’ll play a crucial role in ensuring every customer interaction is seamless, positive, and aligned with the M.J. Bale standard of excellence.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering an exceptional level of service across all customer communication touchpoints

  • Resolving product, delivery, or loyalty-related queries using tools like Zendesk, Shopify, Omneo, and AP21

  • Coordinating customer orders across platforms including Click & Collect, Ship from Store, and Myer Online

  • Escalating complaints or feedback where needed, while always acting with care and professionalism

  • Supporting the broader Retail, Online, and Marketing teams as needed

  • Assisting with styling and appointment enquiries, particularly for weddings and custom events

This is a casual position, ideal for someone with flexible availability and a passion for premium service.

  • A customer-first mindset and proven ability to go above and beyond
  • Exceptional communication – both written and verbal
  • Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Confidence using tools like Outlook, Excel, and customer service platforms (Zendesk, Shopify, etc.)
  • An interest in fashion and understanding of the ecommerce/retail landscape

Previous customer service experience (retail, ecommerce, hospitality or call centre) is highly desirable.
